Areas of Engagement

Foreign Policy

Montanans for National Security members include former national security professionals with extensive experience serving and protecting U.S. interests at home and abroad, including Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, former Defense Intelligence Agency officers, and former diplomats from the U.S. Department of State.  We help our members engage in public conversation about what they know through town hall meetings, opinion pieces, social media or other venues.

Veterans and public lands

Montana has nearly the highest number of veterans per-capita in the nation and nearly the most acreage of public lands per person as well. Montanans for National Security helps veterans speak up about how they spend time in public lands and why access to public lands is important to them.

Whenever someone is expressing an opinion, it’s always a good idea to ask: do they have any idea what the hell they’re talking about?
